The majority of the projects relevant to agrifood research have been financed under the thematic priority "Food Quality and Safety" (FQS). Four major calls have been published between 2002 and 2006:

	Call2: FP6-2003-Food-2-A Opened on the 05 November 2003 Closed on the 5 February 2004 Budget € 192 million 10 IP and 2 NoE financed	Call4: FP6-2005-Food-4-A Opened on the 09 July 2005 Closed on the 05.10 2005 (step1) and 08.02 2006 (step 2) Budget € 83 million 4 IP and 3 NoE financed

A number of STREP and SSA projects (mainly in the fields of economics, animal health and fishery) have also been financed under the priority "Scientific Support to Policy" (SSP).
