  AgriPolicy final meeting in April 2010
 
The final AgriPolicy conference will take place in Struga (FYROM) on 22-23 April 2010. The conference will be built on the final results of AgriPolicy. Two main topics will be discussed:
- The future of Direct Payments in the enlarged EU: presentation of a study assessing the impact of future direct payment options in the 12 New Member States and the 8 Candidate & Pre Candidate Countries
- Future EU enlargement: presentation of 8 country reports on agriculture and agricultural policy in the Western Balkans and Turkey.
   
  Statistics: 20 countries at once
 
The AgriPolicy team gathered key agricultural statistics in the 20 countries covered by the project. Each dataset contains 20 tables. For New member States, the period covered is 1995 and 2007. For Candidate and Potantial Candidate Counties, the period covered is 2000 to 2007. A report on statistics availability in the Candidate and Potential Candidate Countries has also been prepared.

  "Agricultural Policy Perspectives" Briefs
 
This new publication discuss policy aspects of the Common Agricultural Policy.The first Brief covers the development of the CAP over the last two decades, its current position and how this will influence future policy changes. Future issues will focus on different policy areas, such as direct payments, market support, and rural development.

  Statistics and publications from DG Agriculture
 
DG Agriculture recenty published several reports. "Rural Development in the European Union - Statistical and Economic Information" is an annual publication providing information on rural areas and the implementation of the EU's rural development policy. The report "Agricultural trade statistics 1999 - 2008" provides figures and graph on EU agricultural trade since 1999. Fact-sheets with key figures on each Member States have also been published in 2009.

  IAMO Forum 2010: challenges for new modes of governance
 
IAMO's 2010 forum focuses on governance and institutional changes. IAMO Forum 2010 Institutions in Transition - Challenges for New Modes of Governance will take place on 16-18 June 2010.
   
  Seminar in Ljubljana on rural development
The University of Ljubljana, IAMO and the the Slovene Association of Agricultural Economists are organising the 118th EAAA seminar “Rural development: governance, policy design and delivery” on 25-27 August 2010.
   
  EAAE/AAEA seminar
 
The 1st joined EAAE/AAEA seminar “The Economics of Food, Food Choice and Health" will take place in München (Germany) on 15-17 September 2010. Deadline for abstract submission is 31 March 2010.
