AgriPolicy report on policy demand and research activities (December 2006)
This report provides an overview of the activities of scientists and of the demand for scientific expertise in agricultural policy in the New Member States, in the Candidate Countries and the countries of the Western Balkans.
It was prepared in 2006 and covers the year 2005. It shows little gap between the activities of scientists and the needs expressed at national level (emphasis on rural development and competitiveness). More recent research challenges such as sustainable development and environmental issues seem poorly adressed by the research community from the New Member States and Candidate Countries.

The report presents the possible impact of different enlargement scenarios on agricultural markets and on farm incomes in the Central and Eastern European Countries (CEECs) and in the EU-15.
