Assessment of the competitiveness on the dairy supply chain (March 2009)
The reports "Assessment of the Competitiveness of the Dairy Supply Chain in the New member States, Candidate and Potential Candidate Countries" were prepared in 2008 under the supervision of Dr. Siemen van Berkum from LEI.
The reports describe and estimate the state and performance of the dairy sector in the 20 countries involved in the AgriPolicy project. Each report provides insights into the sector’s competitiveness, identifies key constraints to competitiveness and suggests some key policy interventions. A synthesis report builds on the findings of the 20 country reports and provides an overview of the work.

This report summarises developments within agriculture and the wider agri-food sector between 2004 and 2006 in the 12 New Member States and in the Candidate and Pre Candidate Countries.
